Why You Feel Heavy

Have you ever felt that sense of heaviness? It’s like there is something weighing you down. Normally making us feel tired, uneasy and a overwhelmed. We can’t really pinpoint what the issue is. We can’t really describe how it feels.

This heaviness can be stress, anxiety, depression. Who knows? You just know it doesn’t feel good.

I believe that it is a manifestation of all the things that are holding us back. Things that don’t serve us. Things like negative people, bad habits or the lack of good ones.

So, today I want to share 3 ways you can losen up and release some of that heaviness. Some ways to get this heavy feeling off of our shoulders so we can start feeling a bit more free, happy and relaxed.

  1. Say NO. Sometimes we need to start saying no more often. I know, I know! If you are like me, you can’t possibly hurt someone else’s feeling by saying no. Consequence to that is that we end up only hurting ourselves! Saying no has nothing to the amount of love you have for another person. If it doesn’t fit into your life, plans or schedule. JUST SAY NO. If it won’t make you feel good. If it won’t serve you and only drain you…. say “Oh Im so sorry, I love you but I don’t think I can fit that into my plans at the moment.”
  2. Have a Dance Break in the middle of the living room, by yourself! Yup! This is my favorite thing to do. If my energy isn’t in the correct place and I need to losen up, you bet you will find me in the middle of the room, singing and twerking to Esta Rico from my platonics Will Smith, Marc Anthony & Bad Bunny! Seriously, dance like no ones watching. Because literally, no one is watching! I swear that gets me into the happies mood ever. If that doesn’t work, I dont know what will. Well, I do actually. So here comes number 3.
  3. Pizza & Wine! Or whatever tickles your pickle! Seriously, a night for yourself (or with a one year old baby boy who sings the baby shark song) is the perfect way for you to relax and release. The key to this is to do something that you will truly truly enjoy. I love pizza! So I know that treating myself to some yummi pizza (and indulging without feeling guilty is key here) will make me feel like I love me! Like I don’t have a care in the world for nothing else! I am out (in) on a date with myself and nothing else matters! The world can wait.

Now you aren’t going to always say no to everybody (like your husband asking you to cook dinner) and you don’t want to make pizza your weekly dinner either but you get the point. Every now and then, is great to losen up and forget it all in a safe and healthy way! Remember to love and honor your body!

I love you and I will talk to you soon!
